Jake Lahut is a journalist from Upstate New York who is currently studying at Wesleyan University. He has been a researcher at The New Yorker since February 2016 under the guidance of Mark Singer, who has been a staff writer at the magazine for over 40 years. Over the summer of 2016 he interned as a reporter covering breaking news at the Albany Times Union. He is currently writing a senior thesis at Wesleyan with bestselling author Charles Barber on literary memoirs concerning mental illness while serving as Features Editor of the twice-weekly Argus and Editor in Chief of Arcadia Political Magazine.
